That’s why Pay Our Interns and the Next100 sent a letter to President Biden, asking his Administration to include funds for paid internships in all federal agencies and the White House as part of the President’s Budget Request. Creating paid internship opportunities across the federal government would meet the goals set forth in the President’s “Executive Order On Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government” by removing barriers to young people of color to advance their careers in public service.
