As a part of our continued series introducing the team behind POI, we wanted to introduce our new communications intern, Bryant Larson.
Bryant is a junior at U.C. Berkeley, studying International Relations and Farsi.
Previously, he attended Irvine Valley College, where he served as President of the school’s nationally-ranked Model United Nations team.
Throughout his time at the California State Assembly, Bryant worked as an unpaid intern; thus, he is very familiar with the struggle of having to balance schoolwork, a part-time job, and an unpaid internship.
While this experience, and others like it, have proven to be valuable for his professional and academic development, he also recognizes that these same opportunities shut out a large proportion of qualified applicants, all because they lack the means to subsidize living costs without pay.
