If you follow our social media, you’re likely aware of the discussions going around social work, and how social work students traditionally are NOT paid for their internships.

This means that students often have to work the equivalent of full-time jobs for free, as they try to balance additional work to pay bills and take care of their families.

Which is why, POI is announcing support for the University of Michigan School of Social Work students, who are petitioning to be compensated for field work.

We want to encourage everyone to visit their LinkTree, and see how you can support their work. We’re also talking to them directly, and will share information on how to amplify and support their work in the weeks to come.
